To a beginner, the rules and the stratgies of blackjack might look a bit intimidating. Just to make you first bet can be a bit frightening but before you know it, you're gambling as you newer had done anything else before. To get you a bit on the way towards a successfull blackjack player, read this section!

The blackjack table

A blackjack table is often shaped like a half moon. The dealer sits in the epicentrum while all players are sitting around the outer edge of the table. As almoust all other casino games, the table usually has a green felt surface and infront of each player, a white circle or box is drawn on the green felt. This is where you place you chips, while betting.

Table limits

Before you choose a table to play at, there are some charactetistics of each table that you have to consider. The main one is the table limit i.e. the betting limits. The table limits has often both a lower bound and a upper bound i.e. minimum and maximum bet size. Choose a game that suits your budget and you skill. If you are new to blackjack, choose a low-limit table (a minimum betting limit of $1 to $5) but if you feel that handle the game and are willing to gamble your money, choose a high-limit table.

Betting

Before the dealers deals any cards, each player who intend to *medverka* in the hand has to make their bets. Each player places their chips in the table or circle infront of them. Once the crads have been dealt and the play has started, the players are not allowd to touch the chips on the table. When the hand is over, the dealer will go around the table, collection or paying chips depending on if the player won or lost. Then, each player is allowed to take their chips from the table and perhaps place their new bets.

Number of decks

In online gambling, the majority of blackjack games are played with multiple decks, hence the name multideck blackjack. However, what you need to find out is how many decks the game is played with. Often, their might be 6-8 decks in the game, but sometimes fewer. What you need to know is that the house edge (casino's advantage) is lower with fewer decks in play.

Card values

The game is lpayed with a standard deck of cards (or multiple decks), but the values of the cards are not similar to other card games. All cards below 10 are worth their rank, while face cards (Jack, Queen and King) are worth 10. Aces are worth 11 or 1, whichever makes the better hand.
